Limestone Blanks Trojans; 3-0

 

Gaffney, S.C. – The Anderson University women's soccer team dropped its South Atlantic Conference match against Limestone, 3-0, Thursday evening at Saints Field. Anderson falls to 1-3 overall and 1-2 in SAC play, while Limestone improves to 2-1 overall and 2-1 in conference action.

"We are disappointed in the result and look forward to the next opportunity," said head coach Sarah Jacobs.

The Trojans gave up three first half goals, one at the 12th, 13th and 23rd minute of action.

Limestone outshout the Black and Gold 19-1 overall with eight of shots coming on goal for the Saints.

Limestone edged the Trojans on corner kicks, 5-4. Senior keeper Madison Paige (1-3) recorded one save on the night, while sophomore Jeanette Campbell was credited with five saves.

The Black and Gold travel to SAC opponent Queens on Thursday, March 18th. Kick-off is slated for 5 pm.
