Anderson, S.C. - Anderson women's soccer dropped its season opening exhibition match against Furman, 5-0, on Tuesday evening at Stone Soccer Stadium.
The Paladins scored two first half goals in the third minute and the eighth minute. Isabella Gutierrez scored the first goal of the match and then scored five minutes later off of a rebound.
Furman finished off the second half with three goals scored, setting the final score at 5-0.
Anderson goalkeeper Madison Paige was credited with 10 saves in 72 minutes of action, while sophomore keeper Jeanette Campbell recorded three saves in 18 minutes of play.
The Trojans opened up home play on Sunday, Feb. 14th against The Citadel. Kick-off is slated for 1pm.
