Anderson, S.C. – The Anderson University women's soccer program has added eight for the upcoming 2020 season, announced on Monday by Trojan head coach Sarah Jacobs.
The Black and Gold welcome: Brandi Greenlee (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville High School), Victoria McGovern (Greenville, S.C./Shannon Forest Christian School), Kristen Cole (Clover, S.C./Clover High School), Claudia Watson (Blythewood, S.C./Blythewood High School), Emma Deadwyler (Travelers Rest, S.C./Travelers High School), Bethany Anderson (Warner Robins, Ga./Houston County High School), Lina Powell (Johnson City, Tenn./Science Hill High School) and Carson Kelly (North Augusta, S.C./North Augusta High School) to the team for the upcoming 2020 campaign.
Jacobs on 2020 Class: "I am excited about these eight freshmen that we are adding to the Trojan family with our 2020 class. This group brings a high level of soccer experience, athleticism and work rate, and I believe they will make an immediate impact for our team on the field. Additionally, this class is filled with women of high character who will help excel in the classroom and uphold our team values. I look forward to working with each of these players throughout their careers."
The Trojans are slated to open up its 2020 season on the road at nonconference opponent Emmanuel on September 5th. Kick-off is scheduled for 5 pm.
