Men's Lacrosse Drops Saturday Contest At Queens 20-11

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Anderson University men's lacrosse team came up short in a South Atlantic Conference contest on Saturday (Apr. 10) by a score of 20-11 on the road at the Queens Royals.

Queens was able to control the pace of play in the first half by scoring eight goals, but the Trojans were able to stay competitive as Jared Carter, Isaiah Hines, Rex Hardy, and Kaleb West each scored a goal. The Royals held an 8-4 advantage heading into halftime.

Isaiah Hines kept the Trojans in the game by scoring four second half goals that helped cut the deficit to 10-7 early in the fourth period. However, Queens was able to hold on as they cruised to a 20-11 victory.

Kaleb West scored two goals for the Trojans, with Garrett Hawkins and Hayes Barnett each scoring as well. Logan Trafton picked up 15 saves in the losing effort.

The Trojans will be back in action on Saturday (Apr. 17) as they play host to the Coker Cobras. Opening faceoff is set for 4:00 p.m., with live coverage available at www.autrojans.com.
