Men's Lacrosse Comes Up Short Against Barton 15-14

WILSON, N.C. – The Anderson University Trojans men's lacrosse team dropped a close game against the Barton College Bulldogs on Saturday (Feb. 20) by a score of 15-14.

Isaiah Hines led the way for the Trojans, finishing the day with six goals and eight total shots on goal. Garrett Hawkins had three goals and Ryley Zopfi scored twice. Nick Calabrese, Rex Hardy, and Ryan Gundersen each scored once. Cam Weeks picked up 12 ground balls and goalie Sean Ring finished with 10 saves.

"It was a hard-fought game by both sides," said coach Albert Mitchell. "Barton is a tough team. We hope to learn from this and bounce back in our next contest."

The Trojans will be back in action on March 3rd as they will start South Atlantic Conference play against the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters. Opening face-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. with video and live stats available at www.autrojans.com
