Men's Lacrosse Falls to Catawba 18-10

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University men's lacrosse team came up short on Saturday (Mar. 20) against the Catawba Indians by a score of 18-10.

Isaiah Hines led the way for the Trojans offensively with four goals, while also picking up three ground balls. Ryley Zopfi scored twice and dished out four assists. Hayes Barnett, Cam Weeks, Rex Hardy, and Logan Gaddis each scored a goal. Weeks was 26-32 in the faceoff with 22 ground balls. Goalies Sean Ring and Logan Trafton combined for eight saves on the day. As a team, the Trojans had 33 ground balls and were 12 for 16 on clear attempts.

"Tough loss to a very good team today," said coach Albert Mitchell. "We need to learn from this and grow as a team moving forward."

The Trojans will be back in action on Wednesday (Mar. 24) as they travel to take on the Tusculum Pioneers. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m., with live coverage available at www.autrojans.com.
