Anderson Selected as One of Nine Schools to Host a Make-A-Wish Wish Reveal This Season

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- For the second straight year the Anderson University Athletics Department will host a Make-A-Wish wish reveal as they were selected as one of the nine schools nationally to host the event.

Division II raised more than $160,000 in the 2022-23 academic year as part of its ongoing partnership with Make-A-Wish. Since 2003, Division II schools have donated more than $6.8 million to Make-A-Wish and granted over 785 wishes.

"The partnership Division II has with Make-A-Wish is an incredibly meaningful one," said Emma Kramer, chair of the Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and former women's basketball player at Simon Fraser. "We are so incredibly proud to work with such an amazing organization. Being able to help grant wishes is one of the greatest parts of being a Division II student-athlete, and I can't wait to see how this partnership continues to grow."

As part of their fundraising efforts, nine schools will get to experience wish reveals, which is the powerful moment when kids with critical illnesses find out their wishes will be coming true. New Haven led all schools with $10,232 raised, followed closely by Kentucky Wesleyan at $10,227 and Gannon at $10,139. The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference led all conferences, with more than $25,000 raised collectively by its member schools.
