ANDERSON, S.C. – Julian Caro Sepulveda and Victoria McGovern of the Anderson University men's and women's soccer teams have been named the Jimmy John's Athletes of the Week, for the week ending October 22nd.
Caro Sepulveda, a freshman midfielder, scored two goals, including the game winner, in the 4-2 win over Catawba on Saturday (Oct. 21). The Indians entered the match ranked fifth in the southeast region. The Trojans currently sit tied for fifth in the SAC standings with Lenoir-Rhyne, holding a 4-2-3 conference record.
McGovern, a senior goalkeeper, had four saves in the clean sheet win over Lander, who was ranked seventh in the NCAA Southeast Region. She also impressed in the 1-0 loss at No.2 nationally ranked Catawba, when she recorded 10 saves.
