Wingate, N.C. – Anderson University women's soccer dropped a, 3-0, decision at South Atlantic Conference opponent Wingate on Saturday evening at Pride Park.
With the setback, the Trojans fall to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in conference action, while the Bulldogs move to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in SAC play.
Wingate scored goals in the 13th, 32nd and 46th minutes of action. The lone second half goal was a successful try on an awarded penalty kick by Chandler Hendrix.
Wingate outshot the Black and Gold 17(7) - 9( 4) with the Bulldogs winning the corner kick advantage 5-3.

"Tough result tonight against a very good Wingate team, said head coach Sarah Jacobs. "The girls battled hard in the second half but were unable to get a result. We will learn from this and move forward."
