ANDERSON, S.C. - Katie Bastura scored two goals, one in each half, and Maria Reis added one goal late in the first half to lead Pfeiffer to a 3-1 victory over Anderson College in a women's CVAC match Saturday afternoon at Smethers Field. Pfeiffer improves to 11-4-3 overall and 8-1-1 in the CVAC, while Anderson falls to 4-13-1, 3-6-1. Both teams will participate in this week's CVAC Tournament. The tournament pairings will be announced Sunday. Bastura opened the scoring at 10:28 off a dribble and a shot to the far post. Anderson tied the match at 1 at 12:08 on a penalty kick by Jamie Slayton. Reis provided the game winning goal off a corner kick at 42:09. Bastura scored her second goal at 76:40 off an assist from Katrina Salem. Pfeiffer had 12 shots to eight for Anderson. Pfeiffer goalkeeper Jennifer Lindow made two saves to pick up the victory.
