ROCK HILL, S.C.  – Anderson University senior pitcher Laken Maxwell has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played during the eleventh week of the 2024 season.

Maxwell, a senior from Bowdon, Ga., earned three wins on the week while helping Anderson go 4-0 and push their overall SAC record to 16-2. In Maxwell's two starts, she only allowed three hits while striking out 18 and 15 batters, respectively. She returned to action in both game two's, earning her third win on the week and collecting eight more strikeouts for a total of 41 on the week. Maxwell gave up just five hits in 17.2 innings pitched, including a one-hitter vs Coker. She boasted a 0.40 ERA for the week.
