ROCK HILL, S.C.  – Anderson University sophomore Laken Maxwell earned the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played in the 11th weekend of the 2022 season.

Maxwell, a sophomore pitcher, helped the Trojans improve to a 35-5 record on the season and 2-0 record on the week while playing 13 total innings. Overall, the Bowdon, Ga., native walked away with only six hits and two walks, while striking out 21 moving her overall record to 19-3 on the season. This is Maxwell's fourth Pitcher of the Week honor of the season.

Anderson returns to action today when it travels to Queens. First-pitch is scheduled for 2 pm.
