ROCK HILL, S.C.  – Anderson University freshman Maddie Carpenter earns the South Atlantic Conference Softball Player of the Week for games played in the seventh weekend of the 2022 season.

A freshman utility player, Carpenter was an instrumental part in helping the Trojans to a 3-1 record this past weekend. Overall, the Hickory, N.C., native averaged a .438 batting average, going 7-for-16 from the plate with a .875 slugging percentage, four RBI's, five runs scored, two home runs and a double. This is Carpenter's first Player of the Week honor of the season.

Anderson returns to action on Thursday when it host SAC opponent Limestone. First-pitch is slated for 12 pm.
