Men’s Cross Country Finishes Seventh at Charlotte Invitational

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Paced by freshman Mason Hazel's 33rd-place effort, all five runners notched season-best times as the Anderson University men's cross country team placed seventh at the Charlotte Invitational Friday evening at McAlpine Creek Park.

Tennessee Wesleyan, which won the 8K event, was followed by Mars Hill, UNC Pembroke, Savannah College of Art and Design, Wingate and USC Beaufort. With Anderson in seventh, Pfeiffer finished eighth, while Limestone, Brevard and Johnson C. Smith rounded out the 11-team field.

Hazel crossed the line in a time of 27:06.6, while sophomore Jesse Patrick claimed 39th in a time of 27:20.4. Sophomore Ben Boerma (27:28.1) was just behind in 41st, with senior Joshua Visi-Clark taking 56th in a time of 28:06.8. Sophomore Michael Burch placed 80th in a time of 29:24.0

The Trojans return to McAlpine Creek Park in two weeks for the Royals Challenge, hosted by Queens University of Charlotte.


RESULTS
