GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - A Mattias Schyberg 37th minute goal was all Anderson University men's soccer needed as the Trojans picked up their fourth road victory of the season over Tusculum, 1-0, Sunday afternoon at Pioneer Field.

With the victory, AU notches its third straight win after going winless for three consecutive matches and move to 7-2-1 overall and 3-2 in South Atlantic Conference play. The Trojans close a four-match road stretch and finished the grueling road trip with a 3-1 record, with their only loss coming in overtime against Queens.

Schyberg's game-winning strike came unassisted as his 20-yard shot beat the outstretched Victor Ohlin for his third goal of the season. AU kept the clean sheet as a backline consisting of Lars Zimmerman, Alex Delpy, Paul von Hinueber and Oliver Wright held Tusculum to just seven shots with one coming in the final 45 minutes. Freshman goalkeeper Bo Haug grabbed his third shutout and his second in the last three contests. Haug closed the afternoon with five stops.

Offensively, redshirt sophomore Henrique Gazzi paced the Trojans with three shots with two troubling Ohlin. Schyberg and freshman Aaron Roberson were the other attackers to put a shot on goal.

"It was a good performance on the road, we're starting to come together as a team," head coach John Murphy said. "Mattias took a good strike on his goal and the guys put in extra effort for the good road result."

Entering the match with three goals on the year, TC's Mark Patterson paced the Pioneers with three shots, all coming on goal. The team's leading goal-scorer, freshman Jonathan Spicher was unable to record a statistic.

Anderson continues its SAC schedule on Wednesday, as it returns home to square off against Newberry. Kickoff from Trojan Stadium is set for 4:30 p.m.
