Trojans Drop SAC Doubleheader with Lenoir-Rhyne

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson baseball team mustered 16 hits and 14 runs on the day, but dropped both ends of a South Atlantic Conference doubleheader with Lenoir-Rhyne, 10-5 and 13-9, Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium.

"We didn't play to our expectations today," said Anderson head coach P.J. Zocchi. "We beat ourselves in both games today. Free bases and extra outs are unacceptable. We let their offense take advantage of extra outs all day. We couldn't stay out of a big innings. We need some guys to step up in situations. The preparation won't stop."

Anderson slipped to 10-8 overall and 3-3 in the league, while Lenoir-Rhyne improved to 10-8 and 3-3.
