Duncan and Boatner Earn National Fastpitch Coaches Association DII All-Region

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Anderson University senior Harlie Duncan and junior Kayson Boatner have been named to The National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II All-Region Second Team. This year's squads are comprised of 209 student-athletes from 114 programs. 

Duncan earned All-SAC First Team after posting a 13-3 overall record for the Black and Gold. The native of Tolono, Ill. pitched a team-high 116 innings, striking out 102 batters and posting a 2.41 ERA. Duncan ranks tied-2nd in the SAC in overall wins, fourth in ERA and seventh in total strikeouts.

Boatner was named to the All-SAC First Team as a first baseman. The native of Phenix City, Ala. batted a team-high .412 with seven doubles, 12 home runs, slugging percentage of .773 and 27 RBI. Boatner ranks fourth in the SAC in batting average and tied for second in total home runs.

The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association's eight regions with first and second-team selections. NFCA member coaches from each respective region voted on the teams, and all the honorees now become eligible for selection to the 2021 NFCA Division II All-America squads.

The 2021 NFCA Division II All-American teams will be announced on Tuesday, May 25th.
