HARTSVILLE, SC--Meredith Knox went 5-9 with 4 runs and 4 RBI as she led the Lady Trojans on Saturday in the Conference Carolinas softball tournament, but it was not enough; AU knocked off local rival Erskine, but the pesky St. Andrews Lady Knights were too much as they ended the Lady Trojans' tournament bid with a 13-9 win. Kayla Williams had a great outing against Erskine, going 3-4 with 4 runs and 3 RBI. Williams was also named regular season 2nd team all-conference. The Lady Trojans finish the season 19-29 overall, and coach Tommy Hewitt will regroup this summer, readying for his last run at a Conference Carolinas championship in 2010, as AU will make the move to the SAC in 2010-2011.
