Men’s Cross Country Captures 11th at NCAA Southeast Region Cross Country Championship

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Anderson men's cross country team notched an 11th-place finish at the 2010 Southeast Regional Cross Country Championships hosted by Queens University of Charlotte Friday at McAlpine Creek Park.

Sophomore Nigel Reynolds (33:26.3) paced the Trojans with a 35th -place finish in the 10k event, while a pair of freshmen, Parks Edwards (33:41.8) and Kyle Koby (34:07.2) garnered 43rd and 53rd, respectively.

Sophomore Alex Pena (34:22.4) garnered 64th and another freshman duo, Will Belue (34:23.2) and Deniz Hay (34:43.2) earned 65th and 71st. Freshman Matt Imes (36:14.4) rounded out the Trojan effort in 105th.

Host Queens claimed its fourth consecutive title, while Columbus State's Meshack Koyiaki won individual honors after finishing second last year.

Queens, Columbus State and Mars Hill advance to the NCAA Championships.
