Men’s Cross Country Finishes Seventh at Clemson Invitational

SENECA, S.C. - Paced by freshman Kyle Koby and sophomore Nigel Reynolds' top-40 finishes, the Anderson men's cross country team posted a seventh-place finish at the Clemson Invitational Friday evening at CU's Musser Farms course.

For the second consecutive week, Koby (27:25.27) paced the Trojan men's team, earning a 39th-place finish, while Reynolds (27:30.78) shaved more than 32 seconds off his outing two weeks ago at USC Upstate's Eye-Opener to finish 40th.

Rookie Deniz Hay (28:03.96) also posted an improved time for a 46th place finish, while newcomers Will Belue (28:39.84) and Parks Edwards (28:49.67) earned 50th and 52nd, respectively.

Sophomore Alex Pena (29:03.10) crossed the finish line in 55th, with Matt Shaffer (29:35.29), Matt Imes (30:23.91) and Ryne Welch (30:48.51), crossing the line in 59th, 63rd and 65th , respectively.

The Trojans return to action in two weeks at the Louisville Invitational.
