Men’s Cross Country Places 32nd at Louisville Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Members of the Anderson men's cross country team all crossed the finish line within a 1:18 of one another as the Trojans finished 32nd at the 2010 Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic Saturday morning.

The event, hosted by the Greater Louisville Sports Commission at E. P. Tom Sawyer State Park, featured a field of 34 teams, including five Division I squads from around the South and Midwest.

Freshman Kyle Koby (27:21.00), from Pelzer, S.C., led the Trojans across the finish for the third straight outing to earn a 179th place finish, while sophomore Nigel Reynolds (27:22.40) finished just behind Koby to finish 182nd.
Freshman Deniz Hay (27:50.10) notched a time of 27:50.10 for a 218th place finish, with freshmen Will Belue (27:51.00) and Matt Shaffer (28:04.40) placing 220th and 239th, respectively. Sophomore Alex Pena (28:39.90) crossed the finish line in 262nd.

The Trojans are scheduled to get back on the course Oct. 15 at the Queens Invitational.
