ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University men's tennis opened its home regular season slate by defeating nonconference opponent Limestone, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon at the AU Tennis Complex.

The Trojans move to 9-1 overall while the Saints fall to 2-1 on the season.

The Black and Gold won the doubles point while senior Preston Morpeth clinched the match after winning in straight sets.

Anderson opens South Atlantic Conference action on Wednesday when it hosts Queens. First-serve is slated for 2 pm.

"Guys were a united front and played very well against a tough Limestone team", said head coach Joey Eskridge.  "Our guys displayed self- control and I am very pleased of how they responded to the challenge that was before them today. Extremely proud of our team for the work they have been putting in on and off the court."
