Rock Hill, S.C. –Anderson men's tennis team has been slotted to finish No. 5 in the South Atlantic Conference preseason coach's poll while senior Ignacio Bidegain was selected as a first-team all-sac preseason player, released by the league office on Thursday.

Bidegain was honored last season as an All-SAC First Team member while playing in the No. 1 flight for the Trojans. The native of Buenos Aires stellar play has earned him a No. 23 national ranking and he is ranked No. 3 in the Southeast Region. 

Wingate dominated the voting, earning 132 points including 11 first-place votes. Queens (119-1) was tabbed second with the remaining first place vote. Tusculum (109) holds the third position while Lenoir-Rhyne (105) was voted fourth just ahead of Anderson (92) in the fifth slot. Newberry collected 76 points placing the Wolves in the sixth spot while Coker (62) slides in at number seven. Carson-Newman, Catawba, Lincoln Memorial, Mars Hill and UVa-Wise round out the poll.

The Trojans open the 2020 season on Sunday, Feb. 2 at Johnson C. Smith. First serve is slated for 1 pm.
