ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Freshmen Julian Caro Sepulveda (Slovakia, Colombia) and Pol Elias (Barcelona, Spain) as well as sophomore Franco Antoniolli Funes (Cordoba, Argentina) were named to the men's soccer All-Conference squad for the South Atlantic Conference as announced by the league office on Wednesday, November 8.
Caro Sepulveda earned Second-Team honors at his midfield position while Anotoniolli Funes and Elias were named to the Third-Team.
Julian was an imediate impact maker for the Trojans in his first season with the Black and Gold as he led the team in goals with five and points with 12 while playing in 15 games this year. Logging over 1100 minutes on the pitch for the Trojans, he was a perfect two-for-two on penalty kicks while tallying a pair of game-winning goals.
Antoniolli Funes earned his honor after spending nearly 1200 minutes between the posts for Anderson on the year. He started all 14 games that he played in this season while recording 61 saves while only allowing 22 goals in his sophomore campaign. He posted an overall record of 5-5-3 on the season that included three clean sheets.
Elias started in all 16 matches for the Black and Gold this season recording a team-high 1393 minutes on the pitch. He helped to anchor a defense that allowed just over a goal per contest while himself recorded a team-high four assists on the year.
The Trojans wrapped up the year fifth on the league table with a 7-6-3 mark overall and a 5-4-3 clip in league action.
