Bryce Goodwyn Named CoSIDA Academic All-American

ANDERSON, S.C. – Bryce Goodwyn of the Anderson University men's soccer team has been named to the 2021-22 Academic All-America® Second Team, as announced Thursday afternoon. Goodwyn was named to the Academic All-District Team on Nov. 11.

Goodwyn, a senior from Canton, Georgia, is a Political Science major with a 4.0 overall GPA. Bryce has made an impact both on and off the field for the Trojans. He has started in seven of the 14 games he has played in this season, helping anchor a defense that has posted four clean sheets. This school year he was also named Co-President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee after serving as the secretary as a sophomore and a junior.

At the conclusion of the season, Bryce was named the 2021 Men's Soccer Elite 20 Award Winner, which honors the student-athlete with the top cumulative grade-point average (based on a minimum of 48 credit hours) in each of the South Atlantic Conference's 20 team championship sports.

"Bryce is one of the most dedicated and hardworking individuals I have had the pleasure to coach," said head coach Michael Zion. "He gives his all in everything he does. It is awesome to see his hard work recognized."
