ANDERSON, S.C. – Today on Throwback Thursday, we celebrate National Twins Day (which was actually yesterday). Do you remember when Anderson University had five ,,, Count 'em – Five sets of twins on campus competing for the Black and Gold during the 2009-10 seasons??
The twins were featured in the December, 2009, "NCAA on Campus" television and internet broadcast. The show's producer, Lee Nassau, was on campus in early November that year to take advantage of the opportunity to showcase the picturesque Anderson University campus and meet several coaches, administrators and student-athletes.
Anderson softball player Katie Van Gieson hosted the show and the December edition included on five sets of twins that compete for AU, representing AU women's tennis, men's basketball, track & field and women's soccer along with several quick "snapshots" of other Trojan student-athletes on campus.
