ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University basketball standouts Alexy Mollenhauer and Crosby James II have been named to the Anderson Federal Credit Union Gold Standard for their outstanding performances in the month of January.

Mollenhauer averaged a team-high 22.4 points and 10.5 rebounds per game while equaling her career-best of 30 points against both South Atlantic Conference opponents Tusculum and Queens. The Lindale, Texas native was 66-of-136 (48.5 percent) from the field, 25-of-60 (41.7 percent) from behind the arc and a perfect 22-of-22 from the charity stripe. Mollenhauer dished out eleven assists while being credited with nine steals and 11 blocked shots over the eight game span.

She is first in the South Atlantic Conference in points (21.2), third in rebounds (11.1) and third in three-point percentage (44.9%), while reaching double-digit scoring in all eight contests and double-digit rebounds in 6-of-8 games played. For her efforts, Mollenhauer was named SAC AstroTurf Player of the Week on two occasions during the month of January.

A native of Columbia, S.C., James helped lead the men's basketball team to a 5-3 record during the month, as the Trojans closed out January with three straight victories to start a stretch of five consecutive wins heading into the weekend conference contest at Lenoir-Rhyne.

The freshman came off the bench to average nearly 20 minutes a contest and 14.6 points per game during January, while shooting 60.6 percent (40-of-66) from the field, including 14-of-28 from beyond the arc.

James captured AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week in late January, after coming off the bench to pour in a career-high 27 points in the road win over Catawba and following up by netting 26 points in the win over UVa-Wise. He posted career-high scoring efforts in back-to-back games and was just two points shy of notching his third straight career afternoon against UVa-Wise after netting 26 against the Cavaliers.

The 6-foot guard is 11th in the SAC in field goal accuracy (53.2%) and stands 12th in the league in 3-point field goal accuracy (40.3%).
