Men’s Basketball’s Quin Nottingham and Volleyball’s Emily Conlin Named to the AFCU Gold Standard

ANDERSON, S.C. – AU volleyball standout Emily Conlin and men's basketball's Quin Nottingham have been named to the Anderson Federal Credit Union Gold Standard for their outstanding performances in the month of November.

Conlin was named the South Atlantic Conference Player of the Year after earning AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Specialist of the Week for the fifth time of the season in November. She also garnered First-Team All-SAC honors for the third time in her collegiate career, while posting 19 double-doubles and dishing out double-figure assists in every contest this season. Conlin has reached 40+ assists on 15 occasions, including a season-high 54 twice and earlier this season she took over the top spot in the AU record books with more than 4,900 career assists.

Conlin is the only player in the conference and one of only three players in the southeast region with more than 1,100 assists and 300 digs and leads the conference in assists and assists per set (10.59), while also ranking 30th in the nation in assists per set. Conlin also stands 11th in the SAC with 38 aces, 12th in the SAC in digs and 18th in digs per set (3.47). She also earned a spot on the 2019 SAC All-Tournament Team.

A native of Champaign, Ill., Nottingham leads the conference in scoring after averaging 25.0 points per contest during six games in November.

He was 55-of-115 (47.8%) from the field, including 11-of-36 (30.6%) from beyond the arc and connected on 29 of 32 free throw attempts (90.6%), while helping led the Trojans to a 3-3 record during the opening month of the season.

Nottingham poured in 62 points, including 34 against the host Saints, in two games at the season-opening Region Crossover Tournament, which was hosted by Flagler. His two-game debut with the Black and Gold eclipsed former standout Randall Shaw's 51 points in two contests at the 2015-16 Conference Challenge, also hosted by Flagler.
