CHARLOTTE, N.C. - With the South Atlantic Conference Championships looming on the horizon, a trio of Anderson University women's cross country runners competed at the Royals Challenge, hosted by Queens, Friday afternoon at McAlpine Creek Park
Without a full complement of runners, the Trojans did not place as a team, but junior Amber Worthy paced the Anderson runners with a time of 20:55.7 over the 5K distance to capture 149th place in a field that included eight NCAA Division I teams among its 37-team field.
Sophomore Allison Halperin captured 180th in a time of 21:23.4, while junior Bari Robinson crossed the line in a time of 22:24.9 to finish 227th.
Following a two-week break, the Trojans will compete in the SAC Championships, hosted by Lincoln Memorial on Oct. 24 in Pineville, Ky.
