Trojan Volleyball Releases Spring Schedule

ANDERSON, S.C. – On the heels of its third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament and its sixth overall appearance, Anderson University head volleyball coach Todd Hay has released the Trojans' spring slate that features four weekend events.

The 2019 edition of Trojan volleyball was the eighth team in program history to post at least 22 victories in a season and saw an unparalleled six players earn All-South Atlantic Conference honors at the conclusion of the regular season. Hay faces the unenviable task of replacing All-American Emily Conlin and All-Southeast Region honoree Hailee Wilhelm, but the roster features 14 returning letterwinners, including four All-South Atlantic Conference honorees in rising senior Regan Duty, rising juniors Maya Learmonth and Noelle Knutsen, along with rising sophomore Lindsay McCurley.

Duty is a two-time Honorable Mention All-SAC honoree and finished last season third on the squad in both kills (247) and total blocks (60), while posting double-figure kills in 11 matches, including a stretch of four straight contests in late October. Learmonth and Knutsen joined Duty on the honorable mention team. Learmonth earned the honor after posting double-digit kills in 13 regular-season matches and was second on the team with a career-high 268 kills.

Knutsen captured the postseason recognition following a season that saw the Parker, Colo., native rank ninth in the conference in hitting percentage (.314) and stand 12th in the conference with a team-best 84 total blocks. McCurley led AU with 46 service aces on the season and was tabbed for the SAC All-Freshman Team. The Simpsonville, S.C., native ranked 10th in the SAC and led the Trojans with 412 digs. Her 3.61 digs per set was 14th in the league.
