Conlin Earns SAC Volleyball Specialist of the Week Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. – After helping lead the Trojans to an unblemished 3-0 week, Anderson University senior standout Emily Conlin has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Volleyball Specialist of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday morning.

Conlin averaged nearly 45 assists and more than 14 digs per match on the week.

The Glendale, Ariz., native began the week by dishing out 32 assists and coming up with 10 digs in a road win over Newberry, while equaling her season-high with four service aces against the Wolves. She followed up with a then season-high 49 assists and recorded a season-best 20 digs in the five-set win over Carson-Newman and wrapped up the week by dishing out a season-high 53 assists and came up with 13 digs while narrowly missing a triple-double by knocking down a season-high nine kills against LMU. Conlin recorded a .750 hitting percentage by recording the nine kills with no errors in 12 attempts.

Conlin leads the conference in assists (318) and is second in the SAC in assists per set (10.26/set), while ranking eighth in service aces (13).

The honor was Conlin's first of the young season and ninth of her career.

The Trojans are slated to open a three-match road swing at Lenoir-Rhyne on Friday night. First-serve versus the Bears in Hickory, N.C., is slated for 7 p.m.
