Conlin Named SAC Volleyball Specialist of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. – For the second consecutive week and the fourth time this season, Anderson University volleyball standout Emily Conlin has been named AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Specialist of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday morning.

Conlin averaged nearly 39 assists and more than 12 digs per match in wins over Emmanuel, Lenoir-Rhyne and Mars Hill, while averaging 11.60 assists per set and dishing out 116 total assists in the three victories.

The Glendale, Ariz., native began the week by handing out a match-high 29 assists, while recording three service aces and five digs in AU's sweep of Emmanuel last Tuesday night. She followed up with a double-double by recording a match-high 33 assists and coming up with 18 digs in the Trojans' sweep of Lenoir-Rhyne.

Conlin wrapped up the week by helping lead AU to its 34 straight home win after notching her 10th double-double of the season and equaling a season-high with 54 assists and coming up with 14 digs and four service aces in the four-set win over Mars Hill.

She continues to lead the conference in both assists (731) and assists per set (11.08/set), while ranking fourth in service aces (28) and fifth in aces per set.

This marks the 12th time of her career that she has captured the weekly honor.

The Trojans are slated to wrap up a four-match homestand by playing host to Newberry, Tuesday night. First-serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
