Women's Lacrosse Cracks IWLCA Top-25 For First Time

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. -- After upending the No. 16 ranked Bulldogs of Wingate University this past weekend, snapping their 25-game conference winning streak, the Anderson University women's lacrosse program has broken into the national rankings for the first time in just their second year as released by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association poll, announced on Monday, April 8.

The Trojans enter the poll at No. 24 and remain just one of three teams from the South Atlantic Conference to make an appearance in the rankings. Limestone now sits at No. 11 while the Bulldogs dropped to No. 19. Anderson also moved up in the latest poll from USA Lacrosse Magazine, sitting No. 13 in that poll, jumping up five spots with their win over Wingate.

The Black and Gold return to action on Saturday, April 13 as they make the trip to Mars Hill for their penultimate conference contest of the year.
