Women's Lacrosse Receiving Votes in IWLCA National Poll For First Time in Program History

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. -- In just the second year of collegiate competition, the Anderson University women's lacrosse program is gaining national recognition as they have received votes in the latest Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association poll as announced by the league on Monday, April 1.

The Trojans find themselves just outside the Top-25 and one of only three South Atlantic Conference teams to appear in the poll. Limestone currently sits in 13th, a team in which the Trojans gave a run for their money, while Wingate, whom the Black and Gold play host to this weekend is slotted at 16th. Anderson also appears in the Top-20 poll posted by USA Lacrosse Magazine, as they have claimed the 18th spot in that poll.

Anderson has a back-to-back game schedule this weekend as they host Virgina State on Friday before turning around and taking on the Bulldogs on Saturday.
