Women’s Golf Tied for Eighth at Hilton Head Lakes Invitational

HARDEEVILLE, S.C. - Paced by freshman Garyt Hamilton's 4-over-par 76, the Anderson women's golf team is tied for eighth following opening-round play Monday at the Hilton Head Lakes Invitational, hosted by Pfeiffer University on a par-72, 5,901 yard layout.

Lander (299) leads the event by seven strokes over USC-Beaufort (306) heading into Tuesday's final round, with Queens one shot further back in third place. The Trojans (329) are even with fellow South Atlantic Conference-member Wingate (329), as both teams are one shot behind both Pfeiffer (328) and King College (328), which share the sixth spot. Mount Olive (316) is in fourth, while Converse (327) is fifth.

Hamilton shares ninth place, while sophomore Natalie Feder (82) is tied for 29th. Sophomore Sarah Timms (84) shares 35th, while senior Lindsay Parks (87) is 51st and freshman Arista Setro (91) is tied for 57th.

The final round is slated for Tuesday with a shotgun start.
