ANDERSON, S.C. - Sophomore Natalie Feder paced the Anderson women's golf team for the second consecutive day, as the Trojans wrapped up the 2012 AU Invitational in fourth place Tuesday at the Anderson Country Club's par 72, 5,810 yard layout.
Flagler College (310-311=621) won the team title by a comfortable 16 shots over runner-up Queens (321-316=637), while Coker (330-321-651) moved into third place. The Trojans (330-324=654) trimmed six strokes off Monday's opening round to stay in fourth, with Converse (323-334=657) slipping to fifth. Erskine (338-322=660) finished three shots further back in sixth, with Pfeiffer (339-326=665), Spartanburg Methodist (368-325=726) and Southern Wesleyan (346-389=735) seventh, eighth and ninth, respectively.
Queens' Grace Glaze (76-74=150), who started the day in second
place, carded a 2-over-par 74 on Tuesday to claim individual
medalist honors. Flagler's Stephanie Tucker (77-76=153) finished
second, while teammate Olivia Ferrer (75-79=154) slipped to third
after leading the first round.
Feder (81-79=160) moved from 11th into 10th, while freshman Garyt
Hamilton (82-83=165) carded a final-round 11-over-par for an 83 and
finished sits in a tie for 18th.
Junior Katie Eskew (84-82=166) and sophomore Sarah Timms
(86-80=166) finished in a tie for 21st and senior Lindsay Parks
(83-86=169) closed in 29th.
The Trojans continue their fall slate at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate, hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne, Oct. 1-2.
