Men First, Women Third At Lander Invitational

GREENWOOD, S.C. -- Anderson College won both individual titles and the AC men won their eight-team race at the Lander Invitational Saturday morning. Ethan Schaffner, a sophomore from Baltimore, Ohio, led Anderson to victory in the men's race by winning the individual title with a time of 27:04. Nate Parsons (28:08, 7th) and Jeremy Hunsaker (28:21, 9th) both finished in the top 10 for the Trojans. The individual title was the third of Schaffner's career and his second at Lander. The Anderson men finished with 43 points, three points ahead of second-place Spartanburg Methodist. In the women's race, Anderson had three runners in the top four but could do no better than third as a team. Anderson's Jennifer Hitt, a sophomore from Fountain Inn, S.C., won the individual title with a time of 19:14. Diana Willard (19:35, 2nd) and Kasey Harold (20:24, 4th) were close behind Hitt.
