WINGATE, N.C. -- Jennifer Hitt and Diana Willard of Anderson College both qualified for the NCAA Division II meet at the Southeast Region meet Saturday morning at the Wingate cross country course. Hitt, a sophomore from Fountain Inn, S.C., finished fourth with time of 23:49, and Willard, a freshman from Pelion, S.C., finished fifth with a time of 23:55. Both Hitt and Willard earned all-region honors. The trip to the national meet will be the second of Hitt's career. The NCAA Division II meet is Nov. 19 at Pomona, Calif. The Anderson women finished sixth in the 21-team field. In the men's race, the Anderson men finished eighth in the 19-team field. Nate Parsons led Anderson and earned all-region honors by finishing 15th with a time of 34:38. Mars Hill won both the men's and women's races. St. Andrews Presbyterian finished second in the men's race, and Carson-Newman finished second in the women's race. Anderson College Cross Country Results
