WINGATE, N.C. -- The Anderson College men's cross country team finished sixth and the AC women finished ninth in the Wingate Invitational Saturday morning. Ethan Schaffner led Anderson in the 13-team men's 10K event by finishing in 15th place with a time of 36:03. Nathan Parsons recorded a top-25 finish by coming in 25th place with a time of 36:36. Mars Hill won the men's race with 55 points, and Alabama-Huntsville finished second with 79 points. Chris Miller of St. Andrews Presbyterian College was the men's individual winner with a time of 34:05. In the women's 17-team 6K race, Jennifer Hitt led Anderson by finishing in seventh place with a time of 24:44. Kasey Harold finished 19th for the Lady Trojans with a time of 25:41. Alabama-Huntsville won the women's event with 37 points. Host Wingate was second with 107 points. Allison Krentzer of Clayton State won the women's individual title with a time of 22:57.
