Men’s Basketball Ranked 10th in Southeast Region D2SIDA Poll

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson men's basketball team, which split a pair of South Atlantic Conference decisions last week, slipped two spots and is ranked 10th in the most recent D2SIDA Southeast Region Media Poll, as announced Monday morning.

The Trojans (14-8, 9-7 SAC), who are currently tied for fourth place in the league standings alongside Tusculum, saw their five-game win streak snapped two days ago at Lenoir-Rhyne, but have won five of their last six decisions and seven of their last nine.

AU is slated to get back on the hardwood, Wednesday night at Wingate. The Trojans will be looking to earn a split of the season series after falling, 90-81, to the Bulldogs in early January at the Abney Athletic Center. Tip-off at Cuddy Arena is slated for 7:30 p.m.

The Men's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, is in its sixth year of existence. The regional poll is released every Monday, followed by the national poll every Tuesday. Each region has six representatives that comprise the regional poll. The national poll has 16 voters - 2 from each region.
