ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson baseball team will open its final four-game regular-season road swing with a midweek contest against Belmont Abbey, Tuesday afternoon. First-pitch for Tuesday's contest in the Tar Heel State is slated for 5 p.m.

SCOUTING THE CRUSADERS
Belmont Abbey was tabbed to finish fourth in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Coaches' Poll, after finishing last season with an overall 34-19 record and finishing third in the league with a 21-8 mark. The Crusaders also earned a spot in the NCAA Southeast Regional a year ago - for the first time since 2018 – and opened the season ranked seventh in the Southeast Region by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).

The Crusaders are 18-5 at home this season and had won six in a row before dropping two-of-three at No. 1-ranked North Greenville over the weekend.

THE SERIES vs. BELMONT ABBEY
The series began in 1999, with Belmont Abbey leading the overall series, 32-13. The two teams did not meet last season, with Tuesday's matchup marking just the sixth meeting since the 2013 season. BAC has won seven of the last 10 matchups, with the two squads trading two-game win streaks over the past four matchups.
