Trojans Dancing; Seeded Fifth in Southeast Region

INDIANAPOLIS - Despite Anderson University women's basketball's setback in the South Atlantic Conference Tournament championship on Sunday, the Trojans received an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament as they earned the No. 5 seed and will square off with No. 4 Clayton St. on Friday at host Limestone, announced by the committee on Sunday.

The Trojans received the highest seed of the two South Atlantic Conference teams represented in the region, as Wingate earned the No. 6 seed as an automatic bid with the SAC tournament championship win earlier in the day.

Every game of the Southeast Regional will be played at Limestone's Timken Center, as the Saints claimed the No. 1 seed after claiming the Conference Carolinas Tournament this past weekend. The Saints will face off with No. 8 Augusta in the opening round. Limestone enters the tournament ranked No. 2 nationally and boasts a 30-0 overall record.

Peach Belt Conference champion Lander, earned the No. 2 seed and will square off with No. 7 seed Francis Marion, while PBC rival Columbus St took the No. 3 seed and will matchup with No. 6 Wingate in the opening round.

Anderson seeks to return to the NCAA Sweet 16 after defeating No. 3 ranked Columbus St. in the regional semi-finals a year ago. Overall, the berth into the NCAA Tournament is the tenth trip in program history with the Trojans looking to improve on their 8-9 all-time record in the annual tournament.
