ANDERSON, S.C. - On the heels of winning three games last week, including two on the road, the Anderson women's basketball team has moved to 17th in the latest USA TODAY Sports NCAA Division II Top-25 Coaches Poll and narrowly missed returning to the in the Division II Media Poll Top-25, as released Tuesday afternoon.
The Trojans, who are 16-3 overall and lead the South Atlantic Conference regular-season title chase by three games over Newberry, remain the lone SAC representative in the WBCA Poll, and joins Limestone (No. 3) as the two teams from the Southeast Region in the poll. Peach Belt Conference-member Clayton State fell out of this week's poll after holding the No. 18 spot two weeks ago.
Anderson will be searching for its fifth consecutive victory on
Wednesday, when the Trojans travel to Carson-Newman for a 6 p.m.
tip-off.
