Trojans Remain Undefeated At Home With Win Over Coker; 70-58

ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson (17-3, 9-3 SAC) won its sixth straight South Atlantic Conference game and hold a perfect 10-0 record on its home court with the win over Coker (11-8, 5-7 SAC), 70-58, on Saturday afternoon at the Abney Athletic Center.

"Good game tonight from start to finish against a great team," said head coach Jonathon Barbaree. "They are tough to guard, but I thought we got out to a great start and continued that most of the game."

"We played the tempo we wanted and left a few layups out there, but that's going to happen if you're playing fast," stated Barbaree.

"We take a much needed days rest tomorrow and then prepare for the next one," added Barbaree. "At this point it's about playing your best one game at a time."

Senior Zamiya Passmore scored a game-high 22 points shooting 9-for-10 from the field. Passmore also added eight assists and seven steals to her impressive stat-line. Junior Diamond McDowell recorded her 11th double-double scoring 19 points and ripping down 12 rebounds. McDowell was also credited with three steals, three blocked shots and two assists. Freshman Peytyn Oliver netted 12 points, draining 4-of-8 three-point baskets. Senior Nelliah Wilson grabbed 10 rebounds while chipping in six points.

Three Cobras reached double-figure scoring with Kamari Thompson and Mya Wasswa each scoring a team-high 14 points. Guard Kristynn Wright chipped in 11 points for the Cobras.

Anderson hits the road for a mid-week clash with SAC foe Lenoir-Rhyne. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 pm.
