Trojans Remain in Top-25 in National Polls

ANDERSON, S.C. - On the heels of just its second setback of the season, the Anderson women's basketball team slipped in each of the two national polls but remained in the top-25 in each of the polls, as the Trojans dropped four spots to 15th in the latest USA TODAY Sports NCAA Division II Top-25 Coaches Poll and fell to No. 24 in the Division II Media Poll, after holding the No. 22 slot a week ago.

Anderson, which is 12-2 overall and leads the South Atlantic Conference with a 10-1 league slate, remains the lone conference representative in the WBCA Poll, while joining Conference Carolinas' member Limestone (No. 5) and Peach Belt Conference member Clayton State (No. 18) as representatives from the Southeast Region. Columbus State fell from the weekly poll after splitting a pair of Peach Belt contests a week ago.

After falling to Carson-Newman at home last Thursday, the Trojans are ranked 24th in the Media Poll, with Limestone remaining steady at No. 2. Clayton State moved up one spot to 12th.

Anderson will be looking for its 15th straight regular-season conference road win when the Trojans visit Mars Hill on Wednesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
