ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson men's tennis (9-8, 4-7 SAC) was defeated by the #31 Wingate Bulldogs on Monday afternoon by a final score of 7-0.. The loss snapped AU's three-match home win streak, and ran Wingate's win streak to seven consecutive matches.
Wingate started off strong, taking the doubles point. After the Bulldogs had won matches at No. 1 and No. 3, junior Patrick Cronin and freshman Vicent Mico scored a major victory at No. 2. The Trojan pair dispatched of the 30th-ranked doubles team in the country, 6-4. Cronin and Mico's victory was their seventh straight as a pair, and ninth in their last ten matches.
Heading into singles, the Bulldogs continued their momentum, sweeping all six singles matches. Mico gave a valiant effort at No. 1 for AU, but was defeated in a third set tiebreaker by Constantino.

The Trojans hit the road for their final SAC match of the regular season against Catawba on Friday, April 12th at 2:00 p.m.
