Trojans Ranked 25th In Latest USA TODAY Sports NCAA D-II Top 25 Coaches Poll

ANDERSON, S.C. -After winning a home contest versus Lincoln Memorial then finishing the week with a disappointing loss on the road at Wingate, the Anderson women's basketball team slipped to the No. 25 slot in the latest USA TODAY Sports NCAA Division II Top-25 Coaches Poll, as released Tuesday afternoon.

The Trojans, who are 20-5 overall and 18-4 in South Atlantic Conference play, claimed the top seed heading into the SAC tournament that begins on Wednesday, and are the only SAC team representative in the WBCA Poll. The three teams from the Southeast Region each saw movement after remaining stagnant in last week's poll with Conference Carolinas' member Limestone moving up a spot to No. 2 and Peach Belt Conference member Columbus State climbing up to No. 23.

Anderson will be looking to begin its bid for the SAC Tournament title and an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament when the Trojans square off with Lenior-Rhyne on Wednesday at the Abney Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
