Trojans Post Five School Records, Three First-Place Finishes at Electric City Invite

ANDERSON, S.C. -- Records were broken this weekend as Anderson's track and field teams hosted the Electric City Invite (April12-13), as five Trojans posted program-best marks in their respective events. 

Lacey Boozer (Simpsonville, S.C.) broke the AU record in the women's 400-meter race with a first-place, NCAA qualifying time of 55.81 seconds. Lambdin Hardy (Commerce, Ga.) and Rylie Jenkins (Loranger, La.) also claimed gold for the Black and Gold in the men and women's pole vault events with a 4.40-meter mark and 3.47-meter, AU-record mark respectively. Elliot Dotson (Greenville, S.C.) raced a 4:05.87 men's mile for an NCAA qualifying AU record. More standing Anderson records were broken with Maggie Long (Mt. Pleasant, S.C.) recording a 10.84-meter triple jump and Darrion Perry (Beaufort, S.C.) running a 55.45-second 400-meter hurdles race.
