Six Cross Country Runners Named to USTFCCCA All-Region

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University men's and women's cross-country teams each had three student-athletes named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association All-Region Team.

For the men, Philip Quillen, Spain Vaughan, and Daniel Similton earned All-Region honors while Whitney Hanson, Faith Nelson, and Olivia Rish were selected for the women.

Similton, Vaughan, and Quillen paced the Trojans to a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Southeast Regional over the weekend, by finishing in 19th, 20th, and 21st respectively. Meanwhile, the women clinched a spot in the NCAA National Championships on Nov. 20th by finishing in third place. Hanson, Rish, and Nelson were the top-three finishers for the Trojans as they all finished inside the top-25.

The NCAA National Championships are scheduled for Saturday (Nov. 20) in St. Leo, Florida at The Abbey Course. Results can be found at www.autrojans.com.
