Host Newberry College (330) holds a nine stroke lead over Carson-Newman (339) after opening round action. Dembroski and Parks sit in a seven-way tie for 16th, while freshman Lindsay Parks (T46th) posted a first-round score of 92 and sophomore Laura Buyers carded an 95 on the first day of action. Kalyn Johnson rounded out the scoring for Anderson with a 98. Day 1 Results
